What is PADI?PADI (Professional Association of Diving Instructors) is the world’s largest recreational diving certification organization. The membership includes dive businesses, resort facilities, academic institutions, instructor trainers, dive educators, divers, snorkelers and other water-sports enthusiasts. Students learn the basics through independent study and then are guided through additional development by their instructors. The goal is to get students in the water as soon as possible and provide them with the instruction necessary to gain confidence in their diving abilities. Fun Dives? For certified divers we have an exotic mosaic of dive sites for you. Our friendly dive staff offers 5 dives per day. For those who have not dived for a while we recommend to do a scuba review first just to refresh your knowledge and skills. Then we take you to Japanese Gardens dive site and do some dive skills with you and then go for a dive. This is highly recommended if you have not dived for over 6 months it just reestablishes your confidence and safety. Morning Boat Dives Afternoon Beach Dives are @ 1:00pm and 3:00pm. PADI Discover Scuba Diving (DSD)

This is the experience program for someone who would like to try SCUBA Diving without committing to a full certification course. The DSD program takes only few hours, starts with an explanation of basic diving theory and explains about equipment, equalizing and breathing techniques, then go into shallow water for acclimatization and some skills practice. Then take you on a shallow water dive to a maximum depth of 12 meters. For DSD program, you are closely supervised by the professional instructor.
PADI Scuba Diver course (SD)

This is for someone who want to do SCUBA diving whilst on holiday and happy to dive only with professional dive leader. The SD course is basically half of the Open Water Diver Course including rental equipment, OW manual, Log book and the certification card which allows the diver to dive to a maximum of 12 meters under supervision. You can upgrade this Scuba Diver to PADI Open Water Diver in 1 year without going back to the beginning.
This course takes 2 days. The 1st day we start in the morning with diving theory and equipment familiarization, followed after lunch by a shallow water skills session finished around 5:00 p.m. The 2nd day is go out on the boat around Koh Tao to make 2 dives with maximum depth 12 meters and put the skills learnt in to practice.
PADI Open Water Diver Course (OW)

This gives you a lifetime diving ticket to the underwater world. We start an OW course everyday at 4:00 p.m. and we take maximum 6 students per instructor per course. We teach in English, Swedish, Danish, Norwegian, Spanish, German, French, Dutch, Italian, Japanese and Thai. There is some medical questionnaire that needs to be completed before start of the course. The OW course consists of 3 main parts: Dive Theory, Shallow Water Skills and Open Water Dives.
The Dive Theory consists of a PADI manual with 5 Chapters, 5 vdos and Knowledge reviews and a 3 Classroom sessions with your PADI Instructors. After the 5th Chapter there is a Final Exam with 50 questions, multiple choices. You need to score 75% or more. The system is well designed so after all the lectures you will find that you've acquired a lot of diving knowledge in a relatively short time.
The Water Work consists of Confined Water Training and 4 Open Water Dives.
The Confined Water Training is conducted either in a nice, calm and shallow area in the sea, or if the conditions are not too favorable in a pool. We prefer to do it in the ocean as you then get used to the saltwater environment straight away, and of course there are more interesting things to look at in the sea compared to in a swimming pool.
You have to complete 4 Open Water Training Dives after done all confined water training sessions. We make 2 training dives per day with your maximum depth not exceed 12 meters (Dive 1+2) and 18 meters (Dive 3+4).
Congratulations, you are a diver. When you finished your Open Water course there will be 2 options. Either you go to do the PADI Advanced Open Water Course or do some Fun Dives with special price for our ex-student.

The Night dive is no longer a core dive, but we strongly recommend that you do this night dive. Multilevel dive is a very good experience, you learn how to plan your dive in different depth levels so that you can get a longer time under water. This is a technique used all the time when you go deeper than 18-20 meters.
Other options include Peek Performance Buoyancy, Naturalist, Underwater Photography and many more. You can look at the manual and choose which ones you want to do once you get here.
It's a good idea to do it straight after the PADI Open Water Diver course, because you can get more different dives experience and a 10% discount on the Advanced Course with the same PADI Instructors. It's only 2 days for 5 Adventure Dives.
If you have done the Advanced Course and you would like to have a proof of CPR training, you will need to do the Emergency First Responder Course.

PADI Rescue Diver Course (RESC)

This course is designed to bring divers who already have advanced skills to a level of competency where, in emergency situations, they would be able to intervene.
The RESC course is a 2 days program during the course you will learn how to focus on other divers and not only yourself.
You will make several different scenarios starting already on day one with dealing with a panicking diver or tired diver on the surface.
You will be searching for a missing diver or an unconscious diver under water, bring the diver to the surface and give a rescue breathing at the same time as you ditch his/hers diving equipment and tow him/her to the boat or shore.
You will use different techniques to bring the diver onto the boat or onto shore. After that you do the final scenario kind of put them all together.
The Rescue course is a really serious fun course to do and you will feel much more confident as a diver after completing the course.

PADI Divemaster Course (DM)

About the DM course, when you enroll in this program, most of the time the reason is that you want to be able to get work as a Divemaster and maybe later on become an Instructor. As a Divemaster Trainee you will learn how to assist an instructor with students. You will assist also Open Water Course, Advanced Course and Rescue Course.
In the DM course, you have 8 Dive Theory Exams: Dive Planning, Dive Management and Control, Supervising Students in Training, Physics, Physiology, Equipment, Dive Tables and Skills and Environment. They are all multiple choice and you need to score 75% to pass. Regarding the waterworks you need to do the following: 800 m. snorkel swim, 400 m. swim, 15 min. treading water, 100 m. tired diver tow and a Rescue Assessment. You also need to do Skill Demonstrations which we call 20 Skill Circuit.
The Divemaster jobs will mainly entail organize the dive trips, organize the dive boats, sort the equipment out for the customers, do boat briefings, make sure everything is working and safety on the dive boat, do dive briefings, leading divers under water or supervise from the boat, rinse diving equipment, make sure nothing is lost, prepare torches for night dives, maintain diving equipment etc. Easy Divers opinion is that a PADI Divemaster Course that just fulfills the standards is not going to make you an employable Divemaster.
Therefore we designed an "Extended Divemaster Course". This course prepares you for all types of tasks that can be assigned to a Divemaster to do. You will have a wide knowledge of how about Dive Center Operation, not only be able to take people diving. The most important part i.e. leading dives, organizing the trips, ensure safety on the boat and in the water.
Apart from assisting your instructor with courses, you will also go out on the boats that take fun divers. To begin with you will observe and dive. When you dive, you will initially follow a group of divers that is lead by the Certified Divemaster. Once you feel confident, we'll let you lead divers with the Divemaster at the end of the group. This way you can get important feed back about your performance. When you and we feel that you are ready we will let you take diver on your own but small groups to start with. You will also learn to give boat briefings and will practice that in real life getting feed back from the Instructor and the Divemaster. We believe that our method using small steps at a time is a fantastic way to build up your confidence level and prepare you for your future employment. By the end of your time with us you will really be able to arrange and pull off a successful dive trip on your own.
If you calculate that price and divide with the number of dives you'll be able to do during your course it gets incredibly cheaper dives and on top of that you get a certification with which you can travel around the world and get employed in the most beautiful places. Diving is great fun and a great profession for sea lovers. A basic DM Course can be done in 2 weeks but it's not the best way to attain this professional level. We'd suggest you set aside at least 4 weeks and for the extended program couple of weeks more.
